# Micro X-ray CT data for DFG proposal (Project number 504580586) SPP 2364 "Model-based control of spray synthesis of structured granules with specified properties using transfer functions derived by multivariate stochastic models and machine learning" ## Micro X-ray CT Equipment Measurements were performed at the Micro X-ray CT facility of Institute of Mechanical Process Engineering and Mineral Processing, TU Bergakademie Freiberg - Device: Zeiss Xradia Versa 510 (Carl Zeiss Microscopy GmbH, Oberkochen, Germany) ## Sample Material The dataset includes measurements from the following sample materials: - *Spray dried powder of alumina and polyvinylpyrrolidone-30 binder* - Particle size: 0.035 – 15 µm ## Sample and Sample Preparation Description: - Spray dried powdered sample mixed with carbon black and epoxy resin and hardened and cylinders of diameter 2 mm cut out. ## Scanning procedure - Overview scan with 40x optical magnification. ## Folder and Data Structure This dataset contains all X-ray CT scans performed on the spray dried sample with a particle size range of 0.035 – 15 µm. **Folder Naming Convention:** - The folder name structure is as follows: \`[Measurement_ID]\TIFF\` - \`[Measurement_ID]\` indicates the ID of the spray drying parameters used. For example, "F1B2" and "F2B2" means the feed rate for the two experiments were 11 mL/min(F1) and 14 mL/min(F2) and the binder concentration by mass was 0.8% in both. - \`[Measurement_ID]\acquisition.png` with general overview of the CT data set (scanning parameters). - \`[Measurement_ID]\rekon_AMC.png` with overview of the CT reconstruction parameters. - \`[Measurement_ID]\TIFF\` folder contains 16-bit Tiff Image files of reconstructed, raw data set after micro-CT scanning (data of the scans automatically stitched by Zeiss Reconstructor software, i.e. combined to one data set). - \`[Measurement_ID]\TIFF\Header.txt` with relevant meta data of each scan.
