"Microscopic investigations of the fiber architecture of the human tympanic membrane":

Five ex vivo samples of human tympanic membranes were examined using polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT),
two of these were imaged additionally with complementary optical imaging techniques.
Chapter 5 of the dissertation provides a detailed description of the investigations.

The additionally provided materials are declared as follows, each file name contains:
• the measured sample, e.g. TM01, TM02,...
• the abbreviation of the imaging technique, i.e., PS-OCT, SHG (second harmonic generation microscopy) or WLM/PLM (white/ polarized light microscopy)
• specific information like "Bscans" (indicates that the video contains cross-sectional views)

Content:
• Folder TM01-05_PS-OCT_raw_data: the raw data of the five sample volumes provided as .oct files
• Folder TM02_Microscopy: stitched white light (WLM) and polarized light (PLM) microscopy images of picrosirius red stained histological slices, .png files
• PS-OCT: cross-sectional view (Bscans) and en-face view fly-throughs of the volume displaying the apparent optic axis orientation (oAx), .mp4 files
• SHG: fly-through from lateral to medial (ear canal to middle ear cavity) of the merged 3D SHG microscopy stack, .mp4 file
