High punch velocity leads to an impact between the tools and the blank which results in a noisy measurement signal (punch displacement and force).
Therefore, the velocity curves, determined using numerical differenciation, need to be smoothed, which is done using a trendline.
The signal of the force measurement is not smoothed.
