The OPARA service was recently upgraded to a new technical platform. You are visiting the outdated OPARA website. Please use https://opara.zih.tu-dresden.de/ for new data submissions. Previously stored data will be migrated in near future and then the old version of OPARA will finally be shut down. Existing DOIs for data publications remain valid.
Correlative X-ray tomography (Correlative Tomography)
The 3D particle analysis offers the possibility to capture several particle characteristics simultaneously. However, when using X-ray tomography over several size scales (nano- and micro CT), it is not possible to derive quantitative information about the material composition of samples directly from the image grey values. Within the project, this is to be done by correlating the 3D volume with 2D elemental analysis (EDXS) utilizing a FIB-SEM workflow.
This project is open access and publicly accessible.

3 tomographic data sets of nano-CT measurements of a 30:70 vol-% mixture of talcum and saxolite
(Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, 2022)All 3 data sets are sub-volumes (Field of View approx. 65 µm) of a total sample of a particle mixture of talc and saxolite fixed in a matrix by means of epoxy resin and spacer particles (nanometre-sized carbon black ...
