Abstract of the dataset
dc.description.abstract

The presented data belongs to reinforced concrete (RC) cuboid experiments in the drop tower of TU Dresden. The experiments aimed at characterizing different mineral-bonded composite systems regarding their impact protection performance. Different sensors, such as accelerometers, a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV), and two high-speed cameras (HSC) tracked the specimen behavior during the experiments. The data is the calibrated and filtered data of these sensors with different evaluations carried out and stored in the files corresponding to the individual experiments.

High-contrast mineral-bonded composite systems for impact protection (GRK 2250, Project A6 II)

Project abstract
opara.project.description

Existing reinforced concrete structures feature, as a rule, a relatively low resistance to various sorts of impact loading, such as shock, collision, or explosion. The primary goal of the intended Research Training Group is to bring substantial improvements in the impact resistance of existing buildings by applying thin layers of strengthening material. By using innovative, mineral-bonded composites, public safety and the reliability of vitally important infrastructure should be significantly enhanced. The scientific basis to be developed will additionally enable to build new, impact-resistant structures economically and ecologically.
