Data contains anonymous answers to a set of questions about knowledge and use of evidece based teaching concepts by german lectueres in lectures and tutorials. The data includes assessments of the obstacles to implement these teaching concepts. Additionally, possible support offerings were inquired about. Demographic data is listed at the end of the survey.

In physics courses at German universities, evidence-based teaching concepts such as peer instruction or problem-based learning are not widely implemented; instead, the traditional, lecture-based and frontal teaching formats are presumably often used. To examine this assumption, along with its causes and reasons more closely, an online questionnaire was created and sent to over 1,900 physics instructors in Germany in the fall of 2023. This dataset includes all fully and partially completed questionnaires.
